I am thinking about buying an Ath-cm7ti but wanted to know how well they stay in your ear. They will be used for boxing so they really need to stay in the ear very well and need to block out sound above avg.
To give you an idea, the Ipod earbuds don't block out enough sound and they don't stay in well enough for what I'm using them for( ehh and the sound

).
I just had the e5c and er-4p/s. e5c worked ok ( not really a big fan of the sound though) but for medical reasons I can't go with ear-canal headphones.

so what I need :

- Stays in the ear well
- Blocks out sound well
- non ear-canal
-I know some of you are prob going to say ksc-35 or another good closed headphone but I am NOT looking for a headphone.
- Same size left and right wires. Two other around 50 dollar earbuds I tried had a longer right side then left which was a huge pain in the ass to deal with. Can't have that( I doubt the cm7ti will but it's some thing to ask about).
- Above decent sound

I recently got these and I will be posting a review shortly.

But to give you a brief preview:
Positves
- Sound: Best I have heard from any earbuds, period. They are like the sony mdr E888's taken to the next level.
Negatives
- Fit: I have not been able to get them to stay in. There is a rubber ring around the buds that can help them stay in firmly if your ears are the right size. My ears are not the right size so the ring is not helping me. The uneven cord is also a problem because the left bud falls out easy when the cord is pulled.

i have small ears, so they are less of a problem, but even then i agree re the left cord issue. not recommended unless you have smaller ears and are not overly active. very, very nice sounding buds, though.

i'm amazed at the type of activities people want to listen to music during. boxing? did you really sit down and think, it's a good idea to step into a ring with a guy trying to punch my lights out while wearing some earbuds, the cord hanging down my chest to an mp3 player on my belt? maybe you do a punching bag sort of thing, i'm not sure, but would it really be enjoyable with earphones while you're sweating and moving around? come on, man, can't you just enjoy the music when you get back home?

Maybe he meant boxing training...

If the left side keep falling out, consider getting a clip for it (like one from a cell fone earpiece)... the uneven cord design is good when you're not listening and just want to let it hang around your neck...

Like i'm really going to fight some one with earphones on.
This will be used for Speed bag, heavy bag, Shadow boxing, wieght lifting, and over 5 mile runs.
I find that after a good 3 hours of working out the music is all that keeps you going.

i guess i can understand that, even if i don't relate to it personally. i used to run cross-country and track, and i found putting headphones on to help get adrenaline up before a competition, but i always found it distracting while actually running. each to his own.
