Hello, I am only submitting this post to show who ever wants to know if the iPhone 5 will do audio out with the 30-pin adapter. I haven't really found a definitive answer as to wether or not this would work, so thats why I'm posting this. If its already been posted, feel free to delete.

iPhone5 with the Lightning to 30-pin adapter does sound just fine (both analog and digital) but no video

Yep, I didn't know if it would work, and I didn't find a post on here that someone had tried it out, just wanted to let those interested know. Havent tried video out yet, but as you said it doesn't work, I won't; bummer.

I remember having read about some hissing due to the adapter that is not present in, say, the 4S with L9 LOD, have you noticed anything of the sort?

No hiss for me
