i got the XBA 4 instead of the XBA 40 because the BA drives in the XBA 4 are made in japan, whiles the XBA 40 is made in china.

How do you know this? I know the first series the BA made in Japan, but how do you know the second series the BA made in China? Both are assembled in China though.

Never mind, its because the second version doesn't have made in Japan BA drivers written on the front of box, but the first version does, fair enough.

both are made in thailand, but the drives on the 4 is japan and 40 is china, apart from the box that mentions this for the XBA 4, I have a friend who works in sony hk.

Is there a triple flange tip available for the XBA-3\IP? I have the Shure Olives, Sony Hybrids, Meelectronics and none of them seal\isolate that well for me. I have triple flange tips(a separate pair that Etymotics sent me because I did not like the stock triple flange) for my Etymotic HF3 and the seal\isolation is great.

So after much thought and consideration I will be getting the XBA30, I hope it has better sound than the 3 but either way the cable will be welcome.

The H1 was too dark for me and I missed the clarity of the 3.

The 40 I hear has great bass and soundstage but is also dark.

So why not stick with that I like? I love the 3's fit, sound and clarity so why branch off? After hearing the H1 I do hope the 30 has better soundstage than the 3 because being enveloped in your music is very awesome!

I was near certain you would get the XBA-40

Yea I have no way of trying them but earlier today I put on the foam tips that came with the H1 and got a toght seal, it reminded me why I love the xba3, everything is clear, detailed and balanced but also has a kick to them, I dont even know why I want other iems when these are perfect for me, singer-songwriter on these sound SO clear and beautiful while the H1 sounded congested with those songs.

I saw the fidelio but I figure I stay with what I know, even if the sound isnt different the cable in the 30 and color will be welcome.

XBA3/30 FTW!

Hace any of you try dampening the xba3 with microfiber cloth like rin choi in his blog suggested? In case the answer is positive, How did you do it? Thanks

Hey, guys.

Um. So. I damaged my XBA3. I've been a bit rash with them, and now there's a loose connection where the cable meets the jack.
And I have no bill of purchase.

Any idea how I should go around getting it repaired?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
