Well I am looking for a pair of headphones that can play Hip-Hop, Folk (Simon & Garfunkel), Post Punk, Classical Music, Jazz, Classic Rock and etc.  I have tried audio technicas ATH-M50S, AKG Q701, Klipsch s4i, and Shure 840 for extensive periods but, they all seem to lack in specific areas. I want all the strongest areas of these headphones but, with better Highs, Mids, Lows, and etc.  I am new here and I would love the help :)

Heya,

Look into:

Denon D2000 (new/used; call B&H for a quote)
Hifiman HE-400 (new/used; look at Moon Audio or Headroom's back stock for the $360 price)
Mr Speakers Mad Dogs (modded T50RP)
Sony MDR1R
Sony MA900
Beyer DT990 PRO
Beyer DT770 PRO
AudioTechnica A900X

Very best,

I can vouch for the Denon AH-D2000.

I like the bass response.

I bought the Denon AH D5000, a friend told me they are great and I am expecting delivery on the 30th.  I just wanted to ask because I really heard the Audio Technica Ath W1000x will suit me more for the price range.

Please let me know how you feel about the D5000.. I am about to pull the trigger on those.. but I am also wondering about the AT W1000X so if anyone has any input on both, it would be very helpful for me. I don't know any stores that sell them so I can try them out. Thanks.

If you want I will sell the Denon AH D5000 after I discover the sound signature for you send me a PM.
