XBA-4 highs are way over-exaggerated and the lows end are all mixed in, I know there is bass but I feel no impact from it.
indeed! However, I get too much bass on my friend's iPod Classic 80GB with flat EQ... just my 2 cent. What source you using to pair with ur XBA-4?
So fair the best result is achieved by ipod touch 7th generation! But the best bass impact is achieved by clip+.
I heard the best of XBA-4 is achieved by pairing it with portaphile 627 amp, but I dont know if spending 500 is a wise thing to do for XBA-4!
I see you got a few amp...how it sound when paired with those?![]()
I dont own ortaphile 627 amp, it is based on Mike from headfonia.com review.
If you dont own the XBA-4 already my advice is dont buy it and stay away from it. Even at 150-200 it is hard for me to recommend it to anyone!
Hi fellas,
Just saw this today, worth getting??!![]()
Dick Smith down under have some sales going, like to hear what you guys think price vs performace?!
Thanks!![]()
Generally speaking DSE's price isn't particularly competitive (well, same can be said to most Auzzie / Kiwi sites), but the original XBA series is getting phased out by the new XBA series so maybe they are cutting price for a quick sale?
