Source equipment for Beyerdynamic DT880 | Headphone Reviews and Discussion - Head-Fi.org

Hello everyone,

I have a Beyerdynamic DT880 Edition 250 Ohm headphone.
Right now I'm listening to it through a plain external sound card.

Soon I'll upgrade my listening source with these equipments:

DAC: HRT Music Streamer II http://highresolutiontechnologies.com/music-streamer-ii
AMP: Shanling PH100 http://www.china-highend-hifi.com/prod0112341242262134522221.htm

What do you think of this setup?

The HRT is a good choice as it will have a good synergy with beyer, haven' tried the Shanling though. For the amp, Schiit Asgard is around that price too ( USD 249 AFAIK ) and it's a good one

Thanks. I'm pretty sure about the MusicStreamer II for DAC.
Any more suggestions about AMP's? Unfortunately, I could not find any comparison between the Shanling PH100, and the Schiit Asgard.

Actually if you can get a secondhand GS Novo within your budget, it is a great choice for DT880s
