In-Ear 5.1 surround with multi driver

I have recently been looking into multi driver earphones such as the westone 4r`s. i was wondering whether they would be recognized as multi speaker surround of just as stereo. would it be possible to use the multi driver setup as 5.1 or 7.1 surround? if so would it affect audio quality in a positive way? thanks

1 - there's no point. in order to use the benefits of surround sound, the speakers must surround you. can't see that happening with iems
