Just enter the "captcha" digits and press "К скачиванию" button on the screen. In the middle of the screen a long link for download will appear... Or press "Скачать" button above that link.

Seems to be no timer

and disable the "pop-up blocker" otherwise the download screen will not show after the count down.

To me, it's now like a totally new DAP:)))
You also can adjust the cover art display to fit the screen!
And i think UI is more convenient now...
To turn on gapless - just go to equalizer settings.
And there some new EQ added - PROequalizer - have no idea what it is.

I guess this is great news for AK100 users, the UI on AK120 is much more user friendly. I am sure they will eventually officially release it somewhere down the track.

Thank you so much for this patch. You just saved me $1300. I don't need to buy ak120 for now. Proud to be Russian.

Yeah, I totally agree. No gapless for AK100? - "Oh, we've been working on it. The whole team..."
But this patch was done by ONE Russian guy.
This is the latest version. The first one did not save the settings after shutting down the DAP. Now it's fixed.
Seems to be working pretty good. If there are any bugs or deviations of battery discharge time - I'll roll back to 1.33 official.
I don't think I would I need AK200 either, as it doesn't have the native DSD playback. And of course, the price is a tad high:)))

What I would really prefer is a real line-out on AK100...

I'm a bit afraid to use it.. how many people here have tried the new ak120 firmware?

So, basically, the main changes are new UI and gapless ?
 
It seems like iriver just created the ak100 to see if there's a real potential.. now that it saw that there is, they brought out the "bigger" gun with "new" features that would make many people just pay twice the price.. they could fix the ak100, but hey, where's the profit there right?
Very disappointing, but i guess it's the same with Samsung and their galaxy s1 which was IMHO a cheap prototype..
 
I think i will give it a try :)

It's the same as with android phones (custom roms), just replace the custome firmware b4 you send it to a repair etc..
