As I posted in AK120 thread.
From Tokyo headphone show.

After my brief impressions today I would rank in this order of preference to my ears..

MS-AK100. Clear, clarity, lush mids, beautiful, slight emphasis on vocals.
RWAK100. Smooth, clear, more apparent highs than MF mod, subtle V signature.
AK120. Clear, no body, no real bass.
AK100

*check my sig!

Expat, thanks for your input on the AK120. Do you have any impression of this new DAP against the DX100?

Sorry i have not spent enough time with the DX100 to honestly comment.
Currawong also had a listen, perhaps he may share his impressions.
of course there is always Rudi also.

I hope they will leave a MS-AK100 for Anakchan to trial, i always enjoy and trust his accurate impressions.

A crossover between the Sega MasterSystem and the AK100. Sounds very 8bit digital.

8bit digital, what you mean? Bad?

what about imaging and layering stability and control? wide stage alone is not a guarantee of good IMHO.

It's a joke.

The Sega Master System (MS) was an 8bit gaming console :)

Can someone explain the headphone out/optical output?  How does 2 functions share a port?
