do they REQUIRE over the ear fit? Just curious. I like having the option to try both. I was very interested in the TDK BA-200s but upon learning that it pretty much has to be worn over the ear, I've moved on.
 
To the OP: I am contemplating the exact same question. I have the 02 BE and LOVE them - of the many I've tried, they're the first to really speak to me. I love their power, their strong bass, their aggressiveness, and their musicality.  However, they are a bit bass heavy to the point of being a bit muddy.  I'm seeking a bit more clarity throughout the musical spectrum, a little more airy sound, but still that strong, aggressive bass and overall powerful sound. Since I like the 02 BEs so much, I'm trying to focus on the simple question of whether the 06s would be 'just right" in terms of what I'm looking for, and it seems like the answer may be "yes." I'll let you know if I decide to give them a shot. If you like a strong bass and an overall musical, aggressive presentation, though, I don't think you can beat the 02 BEs.
