Phonak Audeo PFE 122 vs Sony MDR-7550 vs VSonic GR07 MKII

That's more or less how I'd describe the Astrotec AM-800's signature: the airy clarity and natural tone of the GR07 with some of the smoothness and warmth of the MH1. Not quite the resolution of the GR07, but a slightly more 'fun' sound. And only $50 on Ebay.

I just got the Audeos and i think that they are complete garbage.  I haven't burned them in yet, but i can't imagine the sound changing THAT drastically for me to consider keeping them.  I've been into music since i was fresh out the wombat, played music since 4th grade, and although i dont have all the experience in the world with headphones, I know what sounds good and how things should sound.

I felt that the apple headphones that came with my phone were better than the Audeos.  Thats how bad i found them to be.  I listen to rock mostly, and i don't like a lot of bass in the least bit, but these things had NO BASS AT ALL.  The sound was so thin and tinny i literally could not believe my ears.

Unless burning them in completely alters the sound of the headphones, i would not suggest these to ANYONE.  Unless we were enemies, then i'd tell you to get 2 pairs.  But I'm thinking of picking up the Etyomotic Hf5's.  Read a lot of good things about them, so hopefully i will not be disappointed.

Good luck to you.  Thanks

I have Audeo PFE122 and they are pretty good IEMs.  And oh so comfortable.  Do you have a decent seal?  It does take a bit of volume to drive them but still, you should not hear thin and tinny sound.  Sound is very smooth and bass is just right.  You probably won't see a huge change after burn-in.  Good luck to you.
