The diary entries of a little girl in her 30s! ~ Part 2

I'll be posting some T-Peos impressions this weekend. Going to send them on their way to the next person by the end of next week.

The new Heir 5.0 seems interesting. I'm sort of apathetic toward their stuff after the Tzar 350, but I like the way the 8.A sounds, so I might check the 5.0 out at some point.

So, do you guys have any tips on good youtube channels?

Me, personally I like The Tek Syndicates channel a lot. Those guys are pretty funny at times, and they bring up pretty good points. It's always computer related though ...

What is this kind of service???!?!?!
----------------------------------

Personally I get all of my gaming news from either TotalBiscuit or Angry Joe Show. For funny let's plays, I go to Jesse Cox's OMFGCata. I also tune in to their gaming podcasts whenever I can sacrifice sleep on TotalBiscuit's Twitch.tv channel, or just catch the VODs on The Game Station.

Nothing much on other kinds of channels though, unless someone wants in on anime parodies that's almost always borderline politically incorrect or makes no sense to those outside the circle. :p

I've actually been getting comments in some of the videos about it.

Actually, the other day I went to get a bit of a hair cut. I finally went to a place in Newtown (kind of a more punk / alternative / bohemian area of Sydney) and where all the scene kids got their hair cut and coloured into all kinds of crazy shades. I had the strange role reversal of feeling out of place at the salon because I wasn't asking for a haircut that was out there enough (as opposed to the opposite situation) but they were real nice and didn't really skip a beat when I told them my long term goal was to essentially have a girls haircut and length of hair lol.

My long term goal is Gandalf hair.  Long and white.  I'm not in a rush for it; it'll come in time.  But I would find it an honor to have a full head of long white hair instead of being bald.

I've also considered doing anime hero hair at some point in my life (your picture kinda reminds me of that).  If I ever get to spend any time in Japan, I might go somewhere right after the airport and get anime hero hair, or JRPG hair, like the main character of Final Fantasy 10.

So, I'm sure most people get spam caught in their filter, like "BarelyLegaL.coLLegeGirls --- Waiting for you!"

A year ago, I noticed that those subject headings had changed to "Neglected housewives looking for love."

Today, I've noticed that it'd changed to "SingleSeniorsMeetDating --- 50+ Singles Online!"

Uh oh.

"Best deals on caskets!" is next.

Depends on what kind of music you listen to, but I find both TheMadViolinist and TheUnsungHeroine interesting on occasion.  There's a new channel called Arly Borg that shows promise.

This is my default hairstyle if I haven't had a haircut for more than 4 months. Even more effective if my hair is wet. I should get the ends bleached next time I have my hair that length.

Have you ever watched Pensado's Place?  It's a weekly show on audio engineering, mixing, music production, that kind of stuff.  Each week includes a 30-60 minute interview of someone in the industry.  Last week's episode (102) was an interview with Rupert Neve.

It might be an acquired taste, or something that's mainly for recording geeks, but I never miss an episode.

~ got my pen.

I love the usage so far, it simply glides across paper and I don't find myself getting blisters on my fingers anymore from writing too much with a pencil/pen with a crap guard. I'll probably pick up a nicer one with a fine nib though, medium is a bit too thick for me.

Gorgeous instrument. I don't collect pens but my wife does, and she has that exact one only it's in lapis and silver.

The word lapis always reminds me of Chrono Trigger.. but I don't even know why.

Edit: Oh I see.

Had to disassemble a dead DVD player today on the off chance that it had a disk trapped in its now-inoperative drawer. Fortunately not. While I was at it, I removed the power supply and logic boards so now I have something to practice my desoldering skills on before attempting to DIYmod an iPod Video. While I was inspecting them I noticed it also has a couple capacitors of exactly the right size and spec for the iMod circuit bypass.* Win-win-win.

*(Probably the opposite of audiophile-grade, but should be passable until I get around to ordering some decent caps.)
