No mention of electrostatics, though...

Yeah, I'm sure a good deal of folks are hoping the stats premier at RMAF.

It would work out well, since it roughly coincides with Craig's opening up pre-orders for the Electra. If Senn releases any info I know at least one other head-fier in addition to myself who will request the bias for it on the amp.

Something as hotly anticipated as that is unlikely to get mentioned before the show anyway, though. It would cause a lot of noise on the site and steal the thunder from the product introduction itself.

Is there any real evidence of a new Senn stat, or is it one of those rumors with no substance that won't go away?

It's been an ongoing rumor for the last few years.

However a friend of mine spoke with a Sennheiser rep a while back, and she hinted fairly strongly at the fact that a new stat was in development, or at the very least in the planning stages.

The most recent rekindling of it came when Kevin Gilmore off-handedly mentioned in a thread a few weeks ago that Senn's new stat amp would probably be debuting soon. He then said there were pictures of the stat + amp combo floating around if one knew were to look.

No one I know however has been able to substantiate this or find any pictures. So who know...

I give up trying to make sense of MF's quotes in BBcode. Apparently her posts seems rather complex and special. :\

@MF wrt Oatmeal, I like his jokes best when he's not mocking something or making an argument, like the apostrophe comic or the semi-colon one for example. Or his love for Sriracha hot sauce, or his coffee comic. Other than those, the funnyz rather drop fast for me into meh.

Just use plain HTML

EDIT: Oh look, all the fonts have changed again and the usernames are bolded again.  This whole place is nothing but shifting sand...

While I'm talking about recent music releases, I thought I'd mention something I've been anxiously awaiting...

The latest Mount Eerie, a follow up to Clear Moon that came out earlier this year, which I quite liked.

Unfortunately there was an error at the factory, so it's taking longer than originally expected to get the second pressing out into the wild. No estimate has been given, so I'm not really sure what sort of wait to expect.

In other news, I've been liking the new Deerhoof, Breakup Song, way more than their previous effort. Really liking Azure Ray's new album too. And then there's Swan's The Seer. ....just, wow. Still digesting that monster.

What else? Hmm. I still need to check out recently released stuff by Wild Nothing, The Fresh & Onlys, Stars, Purity Ring, etc. My backlog isn't as bad as it sometimes gets, however.

I myself have been waiting for Devin Townsend's Epicloud. I'll have to order it very soon. It's heavy/extreme metal in sound but the theme itself is about thoughts and feelings one would expect from a less-extreme music genre. It carries Devin's trademark "wall-of-sound" musical style supported by Anneke's great singing that has always made Devin's music stand out from the rest. It's especially unique and i would recommend his music to everyone

I think mave had it right. I'm not familiar with HTML at all (or anything else at all tbh), so whatever popped up before is simply too much gibberish. On the other hand, I am fairly familiar with BBcode since that's what I spend the most amount of time with in a now-defunct manga forum. Got fairly okay with it. Now it's okay though. Huh.
