Are they qualified to drive said buses?  I hope they're not doing more harm than good.

From my understanding, yes, they are.

Okay, that's a relief.  What I would then say is that, if they truly want to strike a balance between not acting against the labor dispute, while also serving the public good, they really should have a policy whereby they only let people off at hospitals.

I don't know if I'd call it coloration per se, more like attitude.  It does seem to be its designer incarnate.  There are times when I wish for a little more musicality from it, and I can hear it telling me that I'm ignorant and should bugger off.

I haven't heard the O2 in stock form yet. People here love to mod their O2s.

If you're gonna be here in SoCal sometime, lemme know.  And if you'd like to be here for the July 20th L.A. Meet, even better!

We all thought you had decided to let your 1plus2 go a little while back there.  I guess that won't happen until Gavin starts publicly talking about the super-secret 2plus4.  Oh BTW, in case you were wondering, there is no such thing as the super-secret 2plus4.

A while back, I made a little quip about the super-secret 2plus4...

Ahh, so maybe there is a super secret 2plus4?  Not saying there is such a thing, but if there were, I'm sure Gavin wouldn't want us talking about it.  BTW, you didn't hear anything about there being no such thing as the 2plus3 right?

The Perfect Sound dido D901.  It's been a rather surprising experience to say the least.  Most of the cans I've experienced - that slam as hard as this one does in the lows - also tend to piss me off with recessed mids, and either rolled-off highs or boosted highs.  This one honestly seems to keep it together fairly well.

Perfect Sound as a company confuses me. I do like the Taiwanese romanization of Spider, though. I know a lot of people see "dido" and think of her, but it's actually pronounced "DEE-DUU"

That's a Taiwanese pronunciation right?  Mandarin is similar enough where I get what you just said, but still different enough that I would not have made that leap in thought.

Are you planning to cover it for CymbaCavum?  You're a lot closer to them than a lot of us, and might be able to tour their offices and get interviews and such.

I'm fairly sure that there is such a policy. From my understanding they're only driving between hospitals. That being said, I do not know whether they only carry patients and employees of said hospitals, or if they do in fact carry other people as well.

The thing is that our government/medical/health insurance covers taxi rides between hospitals for patients, and for those in need of emergency, they would take an ambulance rather than the bus anyway. In this particular case the only ones who really suffer are the ones who need to go to a different hospital, but aren't sick enough to have their taxis covered by the government. Those people, and of course, the rest of us who need buses to get to work, or shop and so on - but we will survive a few kilometers of walking instead of taking the bus. In fact, it's probably a good thing for the rest of us, LOL

Anyway, the point is that I'm uncertain if they're actually doing a public service, or if they're just harming the labor dispute. I can see the argument being made for both sides... On one hand, people in need of help are covered by taxis and ambulances, but on the other hand, doctors and nurses without cars aren't.

Hmm. They look neat.

I'm sure you'll be studying again in no time.

Yeah, sure, I'll have a quick look at the book and I can PM you about it later on when I have had it!

Thanks for that!

Hey DF, are you familiar with Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats? I really enjoyed their first album. They channel the early 70s vibe well.
Which is actually part of what I'm trying to write about, if this writers' block ever goes away.

I've got the FitEar Parterre here. For some reason I can't really think of anything to say about it right now. I like it tho.

Also I've been playing Last of Us, a little bit every morning. This is one seriously good game. I'm absolutely enthralled by it so far.

They are awesome. I'd go see them live in a heartbeat.

I also would love to see Pallbearer live :)

Two songs I'm looking for:

1) It's only a few years old, and it's EDM. EDM at it's worst, but it was kind of catchy when it was released. Anyway, description of the tune:

It was pretty much a straight forward EDM tune when it comes to beat and rhythm, except that it had this trumpet orchestra/band playing something that actually reminded me of both march/fight songs AND the Rocky theme

Think the first 11 seconds into that song and you get what I mean. Anyway, it just happened a few weeks ago that I got the melody stuck in my head and I couldn't get rid of it and I couldn't find the song, so it's been grinding my mind ever since. LOL

I believe it was a few years old and that it made some top lists for EDM.

And, this one is probably right up MuppetFace alley (the first one definitely wasn't)

2) This kind of reminded me of black rebel mc club mixed with soundtrack of our lives, and it kind of just sounded like 70's rock, only better (imo). This one is definitely older than just a few years. Anyway, I can't exactly describe the music more than that - it's rock and it's probably indie. However, here's the interesting lead: the video of it kind of stuck into my mind. The singer was bearded, kind of like Ebbot from TSOOL and it looked like a mixture of a bad LSD trip and a pure space trip, done in a very 60's-70's way. The art was very "retro" so to say, and I bvelieve I remember glinpses of colorful deserts and skies filled with stars...

If anyone actually knows which songs I'm looking for, I'd be... greatful beyond your wildest... I don't know, something something!?
