LOL, making the paper?  Why would I want to do that when I could stay here and mod the site for free?

My vision? Before long, a bidding war between states would ensue. With Nevada throwing that stupid paper at you... Ticker-tape parade style!

Hey, how come we don't all meet online once in a while and have a Diary Chat?

EDIT:  If y'all just let this post hang here for days without a response, Ima be irked.

I'm down with this, we need to make an IRC channel!

The Diary Channel!

  What say you Romy?

Ya think they'd throw you a pair of HD25's or something for doing the work.

Nah, it ain't about that.  I volunteered and I'm happy to do it.  I'm not sure I understand people who complain about Head-Fi.  I guess some people just gotta whine, but it seems more productive to me to just pick up a ban hammer and get to work.  Ask not what your community can do for you, ask what you can do for your community.

Besides, if we were to do that, I don't even want to think about how many pairs of Stax that Currawong should get as backpay!

Yet you frequent a site that bases it's existence on that very thing

I'm up for a good chat in a chat room any day. Problem is, me and a small number of regs seem to make up the graveyard shift of this thread. I always seem to miss out on the real juicy discussions and walk in 16 hours after it's all been discussed out.

As for STAX, why do I see myself on a eventual collision coarse with STAX? I foresee myself 20 years from now as an old fart discussing the finer points of tube rolling to get the most out of the SR 007 Omega II. That means I'll also probably be dirt broke and minus a kidney.

Anyone here know anything else about the new Schiit statement stuff, I'm curious about the exact release date? The specs from what I can understand look quite solid. I was thinking of emailing Schiit but thought twice about it when I noticed this on the spec sheet "INQUIRIES WANTING MORE INFO THAN ON THIS SHEET WILL RAISE RETAIL PRICE BY $50 EACH"

Also "NO, YOU DO NOT GET A FREE DONUT". So much for my donut-fi question

Um, I have like seventeen posts there... I think "frequent" is a rather strong exaggeration.  In fact, let's visualize that contrast for a moment...

seventeen vs five thousand one hundred eighty seven

If the Schiit statement gear was in my budget, I'd pick it up with little hesitation. Like Romy mentioned, speakers and IEM's from one amp? Sign me up with your moonman technology. The DAC, well idk anything about it, but if there's anything I know about Schiit, it's that you need matching stacks.

I've been slowly amassing money for my customs again, but some recent universals have piqued my interest: namely the Heaven V and the F111.

Tupac kinda put a dampener on it for me with comments of his original model sounding significantly better than the newer model Greg offers :frowning2:.

Thanks for the impressions Muppet it sounds like an interesting IEM.

They sound wonderful...to my ears that is. And I have the 1Plus2 to compare.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Valab-ES9018-Sabre-Asynchronous-32bit-192K-USB-DAC-with-XLR-Balanced-Output-/251286574665

ES9018, discrete balanced output, and 32/384 USB support, for $450... hmmm. The measurements don't look half horrible either.

I know this thing is from China (it's called the DAC-X10), but the eBay seller Valab is based in Taiwan, though I can't seem to locate their physical address at all. I wouldn't want to pay $50 EMS for nothing if I decide to get it.

Looks kind of like the Wyred4Sound DAC's.

Muppetface, thanks for posting The Field videos, I've added their available albums to my rdio collection. And to whoever posted the Laura Marling link earlier in the thread thanks to you to, she's been added on rdio as well.

Sorry for the late replies this concussion has been kicking my butt, I can only do a limited amount of reading plus 1 finger typing is quite tedious.
