You can deep-fry absolutely anything and sell it at a carnival or county fair.

This one made me laugh - "Deep Fried Krispy Kreme Cheeseburgers"

Do I spy bacon on that one bottom center?

Everything should taste like bacon and include bacon. I recently attempted to make a bacon explosion. My weave wasn't tight enough (so it kind of fell apart on me) and I substituted chorizo for the Italian sausage. Sadly, the flavors just didn't work together, and the applewood smoke I used was far too strong.

Maybe next time I should just weave a bunch of bacon and shredded cheese together, dip it in batter, and deep fry it.

Now I want ice cream,... :-/

Evidently people are making bread with ice cream. A friend of mine sent me that link yesterday. He wants to raid the freezer case at Meijer and try out a dozen different varieties to see which ones come out the best.

Did you know that China has a strategic reserve of pork?

You'd think that if soy milk is a modern industrial product then its producers would eliminate troublesome substances as a matter of standard practice.

I'm so cynical of the corporate agri-food complex, that it wouldn't surprise me if soy milk and other soy products were a convenient means of dumping the byproducts of industrial soy processing... just like high fructose corn syrup and the corn industry.

I heard years ago that they powered taxis in China with methane gas harvested from the hind end of pigs. Always assumed that it was just one of those urban legends....
