That's my feeling as well. I'd much rather plug them in and listen to them as they were created rather than messing with an EQ. I was lucky as I got to hear them with my music on my player so I should be fine. Sometimes the player can make a difference as well. The Ibasso DX90 I use apparently can be a little bassier than some other players.

I have DX90 and planning to use it with CE6B. Maby I have made the wrong choice. CE told me that The difference between P and B are about 3-4 db under 40 hz if I remember right. In my mind that is not a very big difference.

I personally try to stay away from eqing. Since you are using a DX90, it should have no problems delivering good bass response.

Maby if someone with CE6P or CE6B could make a comparison with a full size headphone when it comes to bass amount?

Sorry for all my questions. I ordered 6B and have little time to change to 6P if I find information that makes me want to do that.

Heartsmart - I've had similar questions to you before recently ordering my ce6b.

I found the review against 1964 ears at:
http://www.headfonia.com/6-driver-shootout-cosmic-ears-vs-1964ears/

useful.

Can't really help with your questions, other than the conversations I've had with cosmic ears on the differences between the p and b, as well as the bass response of the b. CE were pretty quick to confirm that the bass isn't bloated and doesn't bleed on the b, but it is enhanced. Given i'm the sort of fellow that will rely on a portable amp or alternatively eq, the b is going to be the right answer to substitute for doing both and get an enhanced bass response.

There's another article, which compares CE before they moved to the "b/e" versions to other ciems, with a recommendation to CE to change two of the dampers to be more bass geared.:

"Phil Gartell, owner of Cosmic Ears, tells me he tuned this model based on feedback from various local performers who he works with. Apparently he had a choice of two dampers for the sound tube handling low frequencies. Based on artist feedback he chose the damper resulting in lighter bass. I advised him the other option may have been better, and he seemed to agree. So moving forward these might be ever so slightly more appropriate for regular listening as opposed to their current ruthless nature"

This might be the reason that CE started developing the B/E lines.

In any case, based on everything I've read, including the previous comments in this thread, the B is the right answer for me. Depending on what you prefer, might not be for  you.

After that I've had

Shell assembly
Final finishing

I think that's all. The assembly stage was the longest.

Mines at component assembly. Should take around 1 week to finish?

Thanks!

I decided to stick to my initial plan with CE6B. I really appreciate your help :)

Somtime, as this last weekend I was working as driver between artist dressing rooms and stage at a big festival with many famous artists. I tried to se what Ciem they had. I only asked one of them wich Ciem he had. In that case it was JH 13. It's hard to have the time to se, and there often a lot of security around big artist.

I have a friend who is working as a tour manager. And right now they are preparing for a concert with Elton John in Sweden. Curious what ciem he uses.

Do you know if there is a certain brand more often used by artist?

Next time I work in the backstage area my CE will be with me :)

Sorry...if this is of topic. Just tell me and I delete the post.
