Well the DX50 I listened to did not have that signature, and the mids were rather thin and it had an over all forward signature which the EQ couldn't cancel out. maybe it was a bad DX50, I don't know.

It is measured, that the output impedance of the DX50 is about 3 ohms, instead of the reported < 0.5 ohm. Did you use any headphones with an impedance of <= 24 ohm? That would explain a lot.

When reading all the issues with shipping and delays here and there, I feel really lucky that I live like 15km from the CE office in Tyresö

Next time I order (come on HY5!!) I think I'll just bring the impressions in to CE personally and maybe meet Phil!

Double Jealousy! :0

I sent my impressions in for a pair of BA4F after reading this thread, I thought I would try something different from a new company. Email contact with Phil has been good and hoping as my first pair of ciems, I hope I won't any bad experiences.

Cheers

Maybe Phil can take your ear impressions? This way you will be sure that there is no mistake.

Maybe, but he already has a good set on file! I'm really happy with my "BA2's"

Living close to CE would be awesome. No shipping and waiting weeks for every refit. Just pop by and get the fit perfect.

All very true, but you would actually have to Live there. I'm not sure if that's the most fun region in the world to live?  Let's just say, it would be awesome if we were rich and could just hire an apartment nearby CE for the whole manufacturing process :D

You referring to Stockholm? Might want to dust off your geography skills

Geography skills as in, not knowing where Tyresö is located? I just figured, hey, Sweden is really big, with little inhabitants so there's a good chance you'd end up somewhere desolate. But I guess Stockholm would be a cool place to live, even if the soul reason is to live near a cIEM company :p

Sorry, I kind of misread you! I thought we already established that Tyresö is a suburb to Stockholm, and so I read your post like you were calling Stockholm a not-fun-place-to-live

Bygons, back on topic!

To be fair though, my geography skills mainly consist of typing in whatever in google maps. I used to rock the topography tests in primary school. But then the inevitable happened, that knowledge became absolutely useless, so my brain chose to overwrite...

I should've signed up for an online dating site, hooked up with a Stockholm girl, and camped out at her apartment for free during the process

But then I would've still paid a lot for the plane tickets, so maybe not.

The Stockholm girls are worth it bro
