help with cd3000

Hey everyone,

I'm a newbie here. I have a cd3000, but the cord is loose where it is attached to the cans I'm assuming because I have to twist the cord or push it up to get the connection and hear the sound. Can someone tell me what I need to do to try to reconnect the wiring by opening up the can? I'm afraid if I try to open up the can I might ruin the can. If someone can help me I'd be most appreciated.

for a headphone as costly as the cd-3000 i would take it to a sony service store to be fixed.

Thanks for the reply redshifter.

I fixed it today. Had to remove the pad and open up the can by unscrewing 6 screws. cut off the bad section of the cord then resolder the 3 wires. sounds great now.
