Stumbled on this article the other day. Sharing as food for thought, I've heard half of these and would disagree with the listing. Still always fun to argue these things.

Thanks for the link. Interesting read. I think I was paying more attention to the pictures though.

Not sure what's more surprising; the SR-009 not ranking higher or the D7100 being mentioned at all (assuming it sounds anything like the D600).

Yeah, I'd also disagree with quite a bit of that. Seems the reviewer really likes a colored presentation over accuracy.

I've heard three of those headphones hd800, lcd3 and ps1000. I've also had the sr-007. The fact the 007 isn't even in the list is a bit of a joke. That the ps1000 ranks do highly also makes me doubt the critical listening ability of the reviewer.

I've also seen some ghastly measurements and poor impressions of the t5p and the new d7100 but can't say much about them as I have never heard them.

Of the ones I've heard:
 
 
1.Beyerdynamic Tesla T1 (not on ComplexTech's list)
2.Sennheiser HD 800 
3. HiFiMAN HE-6  
4. AUDEZE LCD2 (Not on ComplexTech's list)
5. Audio-Technica ATH-W3000ANV Anniversary Series  
 
 
 
The only headphones from that list that I want, and would think could replace my number 1 are the Fostex TH900, but funds for headphones are spent for now.

My current list would be like:
1. LCD3
2. HD800
3. HE-6
4. LCD2
5. T1
6. PS1000
7. T5p

That's only from what I've heard and not all of them are from the same source/amp
