foam stuffed hybrid tips

where do i buy replacement foam stuffed hybrid tips? i would like to get an extra pair or two for my GR01's. i've tried looking on amazon and ebay, and even sony's own website.

They're Sony noise isolation tips.

You can't buy them that I know of. I'm looking for original Sony LL (Large large tips) and it's proven impossible for me to find. The foam sizes you pointed out only come with certain Sony IEM purchases. The ones I need only come with EX600/1000 purchases.

They have to be available somewhere. If not what does sony expect you to do if you need to replace one or a pair? Do they expect you to repurchase the headphone again just to get the tips?
 
What about the ones that come with the Vsonic brand iem's? Has anybody found a souce for the aftermarket copies?

Mate, I don't know what Sony expects us to do. Three days of searching tells me you can't buy them so far. I've been scouring online high and low for that complete pack pictured above, just to get the LL size and It's just not advertised. My only other option is to contact Sony support and probably pay an absolute fortune "if they have them"

Replacement Vsonic tips are also unheard of for sale.

If you need new ones, you're expected to call CS XD  They don't sell them.  The only Hybrid tips Sony sells are the 5 pack (XS S M L XL; no foam).

Tinyman, can you link me please to that pack you were taking about with the (XS S M L XL; no foam). Please?

My fault, there is no XL :p  Just XS S M L.  Thought it was a five pack, but it's a four.  Thanks for the subtle correction :)

Sorry to give you false hope :frowning2:  Good luck finding the XLs.  I'd give you a pair, but I sent everything that came with my XBA-4s back to Sony :frowning2:

Well the GR01 came with 7 regular hybrid tips and 3 different sized foam filled hybrids. I just took the foam out of the large size and stuck it in the medium sized regular hybrid pair, so now i at least have one extra pair. I dont see a huge increase in isolation with the foam but i get the perfect most comfortable seal ever with the medium sized foam stuffed hybrids. I could seriously wear these all day long and feel no pain or pressure. The bi-flange tips that are supplied with the GR01's do isolate a bit better but the trade off of comfort was not worth it.

You have to go into a Sony Center shop and they will special order them for you.  They are not for general sale and can't be bought from any other store.  The part number for the Noise Isolation tips in size medium is 425905501.  I went into a Sony store today to order some.  I don't know what the part numbers for the other sizes are though, you would have to ask in store.  Be warned though, they are VERY expensive, one pair cost £14!
