Well, I'm all set to buy myself a nice new pair of Koss R80 headphones, which are deeply discounted at my local Radio Shack. Only one thing is stopping me...

I use headphones to listen to music/games/etc on my computer, and I've always had a problem with the cord getting in the way. I am thus tempted to buy a cheaper pair with a retractable cord, such as these or these, even though they are probably not of comparable quality.

Are retractable cords all they're cracked up to be? Is there such thing as a device that will clamp onto an ordinary cord and allow easy retraction and extension? (I know I've never seen one.)

Yeah, thanks for the link! That Cable Turtle is really cool. Maybe I'll order some for work (with 3 printers, 2 hubs, IP Star phone system to handset, DSL interface, scanner, video system with frame grabber and light box, card reader, task light, telephone and computer with mouse / speakers it's a wire explosion!) These things seem perfect.

Thanks again.

Would Cabl Turtles be good for speaker wire? I've a bad feeling I'd fire up my speakers and hear a nice hum.
