With the price tag the ALO goes for I would sure hope it is better than the T1. Then again that would only be with headphone as the RX MKIII hisses like mad with sensitive IEMs. In all honesty it is not meant for IEMs but headphones with higher impedance's. For IEMs the T1 is a better bet.

Even with my Sen 598 & Bey 1350, the T1 sounds clean, balanced with  enough oumph, to make you smile....& dream.
The HE500, is another story, it works at max Volume, but needs more power to shine.

I second that on the HE-500 remark although I only need something between half and 3/4 volume to be more than enough with JPLAY.. But I think it was the voltage swing that makes it synergise well with the DACmini.

Not my intention to derail the thread, but I preferred cplay on jplay (and saving some $)
I optimized windows xp pro on a laptop solely for cplay and it runs like a dream.

I still use cPlay turock. Even though I have Media Monkey Gold, Jriver & Foobar. cPlay is superior sounding to them all IMO. Also since updating to Windows 8 I swear the sound is even clearer than before. Not sure why. Maybe because less processes going on. But quit happy with the OS overall. I don't like the stupid new Start screen though. I'm using a program that acts as the old Start menu and problem solved. When I boot it skips the Start screen and goes directly to my desktop .

Yeh I have been meaning to try that one out as well with Win 7 Pro optimised so much that I had to restore backups because I was disabling too many things. Apparently there are lower latencies on Win 8 with same hardware so that is also an option one of these days. But yes I will try that one of these days. Then again I am going to be upgrading my PC which will most likely deem these sorts of memory playback systems useless. This time I will build my PC with audio in mind!

Yeh classic shell is the way to go..I assume you mean this. It is very smooth in my virtual drive... So happy overall with Win 8?

Well I mean the original start menu interface that comes on Windows 7. Not really the Classic view from Windows XP or prior. Always used the more modern interface even on XP . Yea so far I like Windows 8. Had some minor issues earlier so back to Enterprise edition. Thought Pro was the way to go but in the end I had some compatibility issues that turned me off from it. I enjoy using Arcsoft Total Media Player and was getting random crashes on the Pro Edition. But I did have issues with Avast installing a bunch of drivers so had to get that sorted out. Always bugs on new releases...

I meant this classic shell (program) : http://classicshell.sourceforge.net/ . I think Win 8 has Win Defender has a GUI which looks similar to their free antivirus program for Win 7 and below Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE). I recommend this to people still on Win 7 as it didn't slow me down as much like the other virus protection programs and couple that with Comodo Firewall and you are good to go.
 
And you didn't have driver/compatibility issues with Enterprise? So no crashes on the Enterprise edition as opposed to PRO? That sounds a bit odd between the versions.

I'm actually using Star8. Looks more like Windows 7 . Only issue I have is when you add a lot of icons to the start menu you can't organize them in the exact order you want. Like after 8 or 9 icons it starts mixing things up. Very irritating but then again I now just pin everything to the task menu so no biggie. .

Hey, don’t tell anyone, its Start8 (best  $5 I ever spent).Did you notice how the icons have to refresh each time you restart windows 8 inside any folder, and I just got my PC updated to overclocked i7 with corssair vengeance 16GB and Vertex4 on Asus P8 z77-Deluxe, this happened with both my old PC using 32bit Windows 8 and now with my Windows 8 64 bit!!!
But I agree, it sounded more open and in a way better, but now I am back to my faithful 7 (because of the irritating icon refresh!!).

Picked it up from the post office maybe an hour ago; it sounds great. One of the "fullest" sounding IEM I've ever heard.
 
First time owning/listening to a hybrid IEM and I certainly can see the appeal of it.
 
At the moment I only have 4.Ai with me, but speaking from my memory 1Plus2 is another IEM that's very hard to describe; just like how many had hard time describing sound signature of TG! 334.
 
Before anyone gets misconception that 1Plus2 has overwhelming bass like IEMs such as IE80, it certainly doesn't. It's not a basshead IEM by any means. For now, 1Plus2 is neutral, yes neutral. I think some people assumed  that 1Plus2 is warm due to the highs and lows having little punch to it. It's not muddy either, very crisp and nice. It offers something none of my BA/dynamic IEM does. EX1000 sounds pretty freaking good, it has wide soundstage, but I have to focus a bit if I really want to hear all details; even more so with IE80. We all know that BA IEMs are very good with microdetails, but if it's not airy then it's muddy like PFE232.
 
As earlier, I mentioned it sounding "full", I am not sure how I would describe it. It's not "airy" like 4.Ai, but it's not bloated and loose like IE80. It's like a chimera. Detail wise it's BA. Punchiness wise it's dynamics; but very crispy and nice. Best of both worlds.
 
Vocals are very mid centric, while everything else is bit more forward. Very fun IEM, certainly isn't a studio monitor replacement (you'd want speakers that are as flat as possible) due to the nature of EQing process when you record and master tracks. But for everyday listening? I would certainly recommend it if you are seeking BA with more "natural feel" or dynamics with more "micro detail".
 
For those who are curious about fitting, it's mixture of 334 and 4.Ai. Yes, that's a good thing.

Ah, no problem. I am too lazy describing specific sounds such as (highs, lows, mids, etc). When I read other's impressions I sometimes disagree or find it misleading; at times I find my own impressions bit misleading as well. So I tend to stick with the overall sound, hopefully it wasn't too vague.
 
Hope you get the demo pair soon, would be interesting to read your personal thoughts on these.
