Has anyone here received an e-mail confirming that their M8s were on the way?  (I haven't yet.)  I prepaid on October 23, so I think I'm in the first batch.

Since I intend to use the M8 only with my MacBook Pro and not with an iDevice, the 16/48 shouldn't apply to me, right?  I'm still expecting up to 24/192 with my MBP.  Nevertheless, I'd still like a unit that works correctly, so I'm willing to wait as well (if it hasn't already shipped, that is).

Sorry for under-communicating. Stacie's s been under the weather for a couple of days, so some emails may not have gone out yet. We will communicate with you shortly. Please stand by as we find a graceful way to solve this dilemma. Come to think of it, worse things have happened. I have confidence that this will be solved soon. Our best people are on it.

By the way Michael, highly commended on the full disclosure approach. You're a true gentleman running an honest business.

Darn it, just as I was about to run off to Mexico....

In all honesty though -- thanks, to all of you. This process has truly been a pleasure. I'm actually bummed we are almost done. I will miss this group and the interactions.

Time to think of something new soon :)

Well I just opted to have mine shipped. 24/96 for idevices isn't available right now anyway, so the small inconvenience of having to ship it back once it comes available greatly outweighs waiting a few weeks for me. If the update was available I probably would wait, but since it's not, I'm not missing out on anything right now anyway.

And those who went for the usb option are just sitting back with smug looks...

my understanding is that centrance HAS found a way to pull 24/96 from idevices and they just have to implement the software.

But on re-reading your post i may read it wrong. Srry.

you may have, it's not that they can't provide 24/96 capability. It's not ready yet. So once it is, then I will send my unit in for the update. In a pm, Michael said the update would also include all firmware updates. So since it's not available yet, I'm not loosing anything by them shipping it out now.

It is getting more and more tempting to ask to switch to an LX model and bite the bullet on an AK100.  Is anyone else getting the feeling that Apple is just a little too difficult to play with, from time to time?

i'd like to know if i use m8 with windows,  is that ok with 24/192 ?

The M8 can handle 24/192 on Macs and PCs just fine.  I'm not 100% sure if you need any special drivers on a PC...
