Clip+ you can Rockbox, Zip you'll have album art (Rockbox being worked on).  Get a Fuze (best of both worlds)...I love all three...

Oh...Welcome....

There might be a new version of the Fuze in 2 weeks. I suggest you wait to see what that is. Of course you could buy a Clip+ and the new Sandisk player. I have the original Fuze and the Clip+. When the clip Zip came out I decided not to get it and to buy spare Clip+ players instead. I don't like the lack of an elapsed time display on the Clip zip.

I think someone who has both did mention the Clip+ is a bit faster for scrolling the GUI.

I don't even remember how they compare in that regard. I haven't used the Sansa firmware on my Clip Zip since last December (it may have even been November) and my last Clip+ was already gone by then. However, even if one was to assume that this was correct, it is rendered irrelevant by the alphabet browsing of the Clip Zip....so you can jump right away to any letter of the alphabet rather than have to scroll all the way through.

And of course the elapsed time thing is easily cured with Rockbox.

Clip+ is a couple of bucks cheaper and has stable Rockbox :)

Rockbox works just fine on the Zip too though...."stable" or not.

The Clip+ is a true legend, proven time and time again from anyone to new comers, veteran audiophiles, music lovers around the world, and I doubt will there be a player quite like it for sometime. It's just something that went very very right for Sansa. Clip Zip has not enough time or interest compared.

I hate micro USB connectors. I always seem to have a bit of trouble getting the plug lined up properly and connecting it. It sometimes takes a few attempts, while with mini usb I can usually connect the plug very quickly.

Nice thing about the zip is the Micro USB port same as your mobile.

+1 on that. Most of my devices use micro-USB....both cell phones, Clip Zip, Samsung Galaxy 5.0, and my Nook Simple Touch as well.
