So I just got my Q-40's in and first of all these things are insane. I used to own a car audio install shop and I thought I had heard some in your face bass but its nothing until its right in your ears like with these. However they do get a little warm. I'm hoping that the 770 ear pads I just got in help with that some. I have only listened to them for about 10 hours so far and I'm in love with them. I also have them hooked up to a fuui E11 which takes them to the next level. The one thing I don't like at all is that I have a 2 mile long cord. I wish It was coiled or not as long. 
 
On a side note I have been seeing stuff about replacing the pads and it says to use the felt behind the ear pad. Is it better to use the 770 felt or the stock felt from the 40's?
