So have the D5000 and D7000 although you can still buy them from Amazon right now and will be available for quite some time as the newer ones still haven't come onto the market. Just look at Sony MDR-SA5000, they still pop up from time to time, despite having been discontinued a long time ago.

the new denons are already out on a whole bunch of places including amazon.

Also I'm sure that the OP is a smart person, if he can find head-fi, he can definitely find Amazon and a place that sells D2000

All the authorized places I have checked here in Canada don't have them yet. Even Headroom doesn't have them listed either. Amazon was also selling HD700 really early before their general release date. Amazon typically does that, but I usually prefer to give a new headphone some time on the market as they usually implement changes in the first few months of production. LCD-2 is a great example of that.

you can also get them at j&r and b&h, but I agree about waiting a few months.

The PRO was my first big headphone purchase. I do like them, and I still do like them. They sound decent and are great for hip hop, which is the genre I mostly listen to. I bought into the hype and bought them because of the name and because I didn't know anything about headphones.
But cheaper headphones like the crossfade LP2 and Pioneer HDJ 2000 sounds way better. If you never had any good headphone before, the beats will sound amazing but after you try some "real" headphones, I doubt you'll even touch them again.
But it might be different for you since you're only 14 and fashion is a big part of being a teenager.

I only take mine out when I want to show off.  I rarely use them to listen to music anymore.

so true..  my Beats Pro are colection dust, at least they got a decent pouch.

Call me crazy if you want, but i rather use mi $14.00 Koss KSC75 even if there is no subbass at all over my Beats Pro, the "price / Sound/value" is amazing. its so fun to hear a good sounding $14 buck headphone.  even my Panasonics DJ1000 sound better than the Beats.

My Best "sound/price value" buy:  Ksc75
My WORST "sound/price value" buy: Beats Pro..

Or the Noontec Zoro. It looks just like the Beats Solo but according to Tyll @ Innerfidelity it actually sounds good. But methinks you won't be happy without that "b" on your cups.....

Ouch. Getting a bit vitriolic aren't we? Maybe we should take it easier on him.

Though I must admit, its pretty silly how many people come through here asking for unbiased reviews of the Beats when what they really want is positive reviews of the Beats.

You're barkin' up the wrong tree OP.

Unbiased review: Their sound quality isn't good. The bass is extremely emphasized but is low quality. Their sub-bass is non-existent. Some people will think you're cool if you wear them in public.

Done. OK we can close the thread now. :D
