Hi!

I work in an open space office, along with other 550 people and as you can imagine, it's noisy.
Being so, I need some comfy headphones that have good SQ and block out most of the noise.

IEM's are not an option as I find them painfull/uncomfortabe.
After digging the web, I found the Sony MDR-V6's to be a good choice. They have lots of good reviews and from what I've read, it's hard to go wrong with them.

I have found them in Amazon (Europe) at about 60 pounds but I would like somebody to give me a feedback whether this is a genuine or counterfeit item. (I could post the link here, but I don't know if it is against the forum rules)
Background: About two years ago I bought a pair of Koss PortaPro's and found later that they were counterfeit. And yes, I paid the genuine's price. (if the counterfeits sounded like that, I wonder how the genuine piece sounds like!). That's why I'm a bit relutant in buying without a feedback..

Can anyone out there point some trusted sellers to buy these (Europe)?
Off course, other suggestions in the same price range are also welcome!

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
Rui Moreno.

Post the link to the seller.

I would think buying thru Amazon might be a little safer.
Sony should have a list of autherized resellers.

Maybe buy a used pair (cheaper) and get the Beyerdynamic EDT 250 Velour ear pads for them.

It's coming from Amazon (typically legit, with a few counterfeiters) and is fulfilled by Amazon (meaning that if it is counterfeit, Amazon will help you out), high feedback scores too.

I can say with 99% confidence that they're legit, and can say with certainty that if they are counterfeit, Amazon will handle your returns and do a good job resolving the issue.

Do it.

Edit: I think I misinterpreted what you were saying, let me re-edit this with more relevant information.

I've also read about those ear pads... What's the advantage of using those?
Any advice on where to get an used pair?

I think Velour is more comfortable then the fake leather pads.
Also I think it absorbs random sound waves.

I had bought my EDT 200s new and had used them on my Panasonic RP-HTF600-S headphones.
That's why I referred to them as slightly used.
I do not think you will find a used pair, but Thomann stocks the EDT 250 (V) Velour ear pads (same as EDT 200).

I meant used headphones, not pads. Guess I'm not that good at english writing anymore :-/

Thank you for your replies! I'm going for it!
