Ordered the F111s, got my hand on ocharaku Flat 4 now. Will try to post impressions on both of them when the F111s arrives.

Nice! Are you considering letting other interested Singaporeans try them when they arrive? :p We can use our own tips haha...

Very good news. If it's still listed by the time the weekend rolls around, I'll place an order.

Huh. You have the 334s right? Why also the F111? (I am curious as to your thoughts on the F111, so I'm not unhappy that you're interested, it's just curious to me.)

One is a swiss army knife, the other is a surgeon's scalpel.

Which is which?, and why? Please say more.

I'm guessing he means the 334 is a swiss army knife in the sense that it does well with every music type, while the 111 is like a precision tool that dissects the music and presents it to you on a surgical platter for your aural pleasure

I tried  the 111 this afternoon (and the 334 too), Quite a nice clear IEM although I found the highs got a bit unbearable when I maxed out the volume.

Of course I liked (the more expensive) 334, quite full, a bit bassy though.

There were five or six other fitears there but I didnt try them.

*Tried them with Fostex hp_p1 and ipod.

If you can remember how they sounded, how did the highs and lows of the F111 compare with the TF10s? I know the F111s are more mid centric while the TF10s are the opposite but I'd still like to know in terms of quality :\

In terms of comfort they were awesome (compared to the TF10).

Sound, hmm its hard for me to say as I didnt take my TF10 with me, I only took my ATH-CK10.

If they had a Fitear with a sound between 111 and 334 I would be interested.

I nearly bought them there and then on terms of comfort alone. I couldnt really honestly give a good opinion on 111 vs TF10 sorry.

Ah I see, the comfort part sounds great!
Did the F111 fare well against your CK10?

Fitear 111 seemed quite clear, with a good background. Lows and mids seemed on an even par, I didnt like the highs with too much volume.
I imagined it would get fatiguing for me after some time.

ATH-CK10 was a bit muffled on the lows, nice creamy mids.

But yeah, comfortable and nice casing, the 334 casing is a bit too large/weighty for me.

Here are 7 tracks. In the first 4 the 111s simply shine. In the last 3 the 111s don't seem to shine quite as much, or they don't seem to render the music quite as nicely as the previous 4 tracks. Why? Mostly because of the recording and/or mastering type / quality.

This was pretty much the same case with the EX1000s. However, with the Sonys the last 3 tracks at higher volumes became almost unbearable. Not so with the 111s, but they remain somewhat unpleasant at such volume levels, but even at mid & low volumes they aren't very satisfying (a bit of shame because I really love tracks 5 & 6). Fortunately, I have a lot more music where the 111s do shine.

Some stunning—real—music and a brilliant performance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74dPldwWSuc

In order of preference (read: which IEM, in my view, renders this particular piece more convincingly): FI-BA-SS > K3003 > F111 > 1601SS > 1602SS > TG 334.
