I was actually debating this exact issue as well. My choices were between the Brainwavz R1, Soundmagic E10, Sony MH1C, MEElectronics M6, and the JVC FX40. I decided on the E10.

I decided against the MH1C due to its flat and asymmetrical cord. Two negatives for me.

The R1 looked very promising, but I guess people have issues with the cord.

The M6 looked very nice, but there are concerns about fitment issues? I also heard the sound quality doesn't really compare.

Then the FX40, I heard, has pretty harsh trebles, which I'm sensitive to.

Hi,
I am using House of Marley's Midnight Ravers but I have a protective case on my iPhone and I am using these with an extender. I don't want to use an extender because it causes a tension in the jack input. So I am looking a decent replacement for my Midnight Ravers. I am looking for loud volume level, and basses like I am currently using. Can someone compare this ones to Midnight Ravers? Thanks in advance :)

Hey jared.,

I'm thinking to get one, I have recently brought Soundmagic MP21, not that impressed with the sound clarity in all the genres played. Bass is good though.

So i would like to know important thing about the Soundmagic E10M,

Is there a Track change feature with the remote provided on this E10M, and also is it compatible with smart phones - samsung primo especially.

Please let me know.

Thanks, Suny
