My older first-gen GR07's cable started turning green within a month of me getting it, and now it's not silvery at all anymore.  But this is typical of impure silver cables - unless they're using extremely pure silver, it'll likely still turn green.

I had a sneak peek of someone elses JVC FXD80's tonight, he likes his pair better than his GR07, and they are not hyped, they are easily better than the Sony XBA-4.

I think the JVC CKM 500 has quite a following as well. People say it's more musical than the FXD80. Eke2k6, can you let ups know your thoughts on these three?

Just a few more hours then!  I'd be tempted to buy the MK2, but there are just other things I want more right now...maybe if I have too much money to blow than I know what to do with some time. :p

I have a feeling the JVC FXD80 (on the way) will be the wet swiss army knife IEM with new toy effect, and the Vsonic MK2 will be the new and high tech transparent microphone for studio sound.
 
At least I hope so...
