What do the kits contain?  Do they contain ALL the parts?  The wooden housings shown on the site?  The metal surfaces, etc?  Or is it just the electrical parts?

My handyman experience thus far is limited to fixing stuff on my motorcycle (no soldering required yet) and putting furniture together.  Is the Smack way out of my league?

Thanks.

It should contain everything you see on the image. I am getting mine probably tomorrow so I can't confirm yet but for the price I paid it better contain everything.

I've built a Crack last month and was very pleased with its performance. The kit contains all the parts. You only need soldering iron, pliers, screwdrivers, glue for the wood. Instructions are very detailed.
To my ears, the Crack is better than the Decware CSP2+ which costs 3x that I'm going to sell it.
I've also ordered their 2A3/45 amp Stereomour.

I too just built a crack amp and it was a joy to build. Directions were easy to fallow. when you order the amp it does take a while to get mine took about 10 weeks. This gives you time to get tools and maybe practice soldering a little. Join the bottlehead forum and read up on the amp this helped me alot.

10? Damn, I read that they (self admittedly) take a while to source all the parts, but that's a while.  I ordered a smack five weeks ago and their status page said they were waiting on wood bases for about three weeks, but now that's gone and they still haven't sent out any yet.  Hopefully it's soon, I was hoping to get it before I left on a five week trip, but I guess I'll have to wait until after.
