bought a pair of jaycar and quite happy with them, 10 ft cable was too long so found a 1.5 m lindy premium headphone (another clone) cable on ebay, also available direct from lindy

Are you on the US? I am trying to place an order for that cable but the site doesn't allow me to order from the USA.

Any other place where I can get this cable?

Hi All,

Just want to mention that the Jaycars are a no brainer deal. Easily accessible across the globe to buy. Just remember to use either the Aussie website if in Ausralia, teh UK website for europe or teh US website if in USA for the best price. Seems the headphone has lost the FOTM taste. Maybe due to the fact it turned out to be a OEM or maybe because there are so many versions.

These headset are so comfortable and light. No problems with sweaty ears at all.But feels so well made and robust.
The sound you get is so smooth and overal is so well balanced. Neutral to me was always a dirty word, but these headset makes me doubt my favourite music signature. No niggles or irritation. Works with all music genres I listen too. even dance and electronic. It doesnt have  have fallen asleep while listening to music with this headphones on.
Isolation is superb. If they weren't so gigantic would be perfect portable headset.
For the price you get minimal acccesories. Just extra pads. 3 m long cable.

To be honest the HM5  is a pretty good deal too. People agree they are basically the same cans.
HM5 you get truly an outstanding package included the extra short cable, 2 x adapters.Great deals when on sale.
Fa003 has been replaced by the TI. i guess the cans have been tuned for FA.

Anyway even though the hype has died down...thanks to LFF for the great initial tip. He knows when he hears a good headphone and these should be considered strongly even now.

Just ordered a pair from Jaycar au to uk, no shipping details or tracking number but as I've read I'm not expecting any for a week or so - any uk buyers have a tracking notification/number and did they all arrive ok in expected time? I'm asking as I'm away for a few weeks in a few weeks....

Also, are there any generic spare cables apart from the Lindy ones at 1.5m? Or are they a special fit? I emailed Jaycar asking what the package actually includes but have had no reply.

My first set of over the ears, and I've a fair few albums I can't wait to hear with these things :)

I don't know about UK, but when I ordered mines DHL delivered them. It took a week to get here, also the 1.5mm cable can be bought here:

Shipped today with a Parcelforce uk-section tracking number. Very excited. Just saw a good offer on Denon 1100s but feel this is the correct purchase as I like clarity over booming bass. Is the mp4nation the only cable or are there any oem cables aside from Lindy? Seems a simply enough cable but I can't find any others.

Spotify playlists filling up with tracks to sample in these beauties, cannot wait!

VERY nice sounding headphones I must say. I'm hearing things in songs I've never heard before, this is straight out of the box into a Sansa clip zip. Amazing!

Still tempted to get a set of the $50 Takstar HI 2050s as they look gorgeous, but I'm in awe of this pair! Anyone else ordering from Jaycar, I wouldn't bother with insurance as they're really well protected in their case. Not sure they need modding either, but they're my first pair so I don't really know. Ear pieces are nice, a bit crumpled in box so I'm using the spares and letting the others expand.

First listens which sound fantastic: Monsters of Folk, Searching for Sugar Man ost, Ronettes/Spector, Josh Rouse, Meddle album, Johnny Cash's Folsom live, Teardrop song, Al Green, Sigur Ros, Silje Nergaard, Rumer's Slow. Basically, everything I've listened to :)

Djing since 1993 I have definitely lost some high frequency hearing.

But saying that they are very similar sounding cans and I don't regret buying the first pair, Billy at Noisy Motel let me try a bunch of  similarly priced headphones (not an option at Jaycar) and they came up tops the head bands a little nicer and I liked the 2nd set of pads of the FA's too.
