i know they're really old, but i was wondering if they were a good buy for ~$100, or if any other IEMS have surpassed them. Read a lot of great reviews but they're all outdated, so i was wondering how good they are compared to all the new earphones around the price range.

that's the problem... I'm not sure if they're real, and i was wondering what price would they normally be at..

It is known that fake ie8's are readily availabel - there are several threads on it if you search.
