8 hours of dsd is a lot to say. I use it. Everyday and dsd drains it faster and makes it warmer. I use all wav. It sounds better and last s longer. Maybe with wav I can get 10 hours. Keep in mind when using it with the display on drains it faster as well. So when changing tracks and such.

Agree +1

Using it with display really will drain faster.

When I bought the dap. I was so impressed how it played dsd directly. And I am glad it does , but it does sound better in wav. Wav is just not compressed at all and does not need the CPU power as much.

Either that jabin store people here talk about or the Japanese eBay market. It was about 1 1/2 years ago. It had just come out , and I wanted one and was about to buy the dx100 and I read about that one. Man am I glad I did not buy the dx100. LOL. that thread is hundreds of pages long and a lot of unhappy people too.

Hey Al, thanks for all the input man. You seriously convinced me to buy it. The only problem now, I have to save enough money to buy it and probably on March, when my birthday comes, I will be able to get it. In the meantime I can check the new coming daps too btw

Ok I was searching for better prices on the HDP-R10 and stumbled across Amazon Japan.  They are selling them for 566.25 US (from Amazon Japan itself not a different seller, I am assuming they are a rep for iBasso/Hibino) with free shipping, so I signed up and placed the order.  I also signed up for a Tenso account I am assuming the prefecture is Tokyo-to (can someone confirm this?) and will use tenso to forward it to me.  I will update later on to advise of the total costs with the tenso forwarding service.

So you used tenso to forward as well? Do you know if Amazon Japan is an authorized reseller for the hdp-r10? For 566.25 shipped I couldn't go wrong, I wonder how much tenso will charge? It should be less than 100 shipped so it should be cheaper than price japan plus I really didn't like most of their replies to my questions.

Honestly it was a while ago. But they are authorized to my memory
In fact they were the only way for me to buy it. and I paid about 1200 for that DAC

Hope this helps
