I have had the M-Audio Q40 headphones for a while and I'm looking to upgrade the stock pads as they have never been very comfortable. Many people replace the pads with Beyerdynamic DT770/990 pads.

Q40 and Beyerdynamic users should be able to help me out on this one.

Which pads should I buy considering seal & comfort, the velour pads or the gel pads?

Which ones did you settle on? I just got the velour ones and I'm trying to figure out the best solution for attaching them.
