FutureSonics Atrio X or something from Meelec / Soundmagics

Okay, so I've used UE Super Fi 3s (too thin and sounding)

Meelec M9s (kinda muddy, but I like everything else)

Phonak PFEs (no complaints, but they broke)

Meelec M6s (pain to fit and if I breathe/tilt my head, they break the seal)

Atrio Xs are in my price range and I like the dark sounds (I grew up with classic Sennheiser PX100s, which are the prince of dark and veiled)

I could go for a new Meelec, but I'm worried about fit

Soundmagic PL30s are a head fi classic, but they're a bit long in the tooth

Any advice?

Thanks

In that price range, I'd go for the Brookstone Clear Dual Drive over the Atrio X unless you are in dire need of isolation.  The Brookstone's don't really isolate, but the sound quality is excellent.  The Atrio X is pretty decent in bass quality (although nowhere near as good as the Atrio MG7), but lacking everywhere else.

I haven't heard the Meelec or the Soundmagic, so I can't comment on those.  You may want to consider the Monoprice 8320 or the Audio-Technica CKM50, which are also very popular here.  Hell, you could probably get both of them and still end up saving money.
