Denon D7100?!

I ignore the design completely and just go off the quality of rendering and model. The rendering and model are definitely ****ty-freshmen-design-student quality; no way in hell would a legit company have designers that bad. I could make a better rendering in my sleep.

Fostex does not own Denon, D&M(arantz) Holding does (itself owned by Bain Capital - they've got McIntosh and a few others under the umbrella too). Fostex is an ODM that Denon contracts to build various things for them (and Denon does not have exclusive use of Fostex's abilities, they're one of the largest speaker manufacturers in the world).

As far as this "D7100" - I truly hope this is meant to be a joke.

Are these meant to be a portable high end denon?
And I thought the flagship was the th900 xP from fostex which apparently owns denon?

I'd take them if they cost less than150$ and sound as good as the d7000

My guess is that these aren't the new flagship, but simply a cheaper headphone in the D series.

But one thing I really can't get over is that the white stitching is *fake*, it doesn't actually serve any purpose!

Okay, now I hate to play this card, but I will reserve final judgement for these trashbin liners until I hear the sound.
