HRT Music streamer II+ vs Dacport LX | Headphone Reviews and Discussion - Head-Fi.org

Old topic I know, but I couldn't find a satisfied answer. I'm looking for an upgrade for my HRT music streamer II. Really love the sound, but I always need to adjust the Wasabi buffer length to minimum if I don't want to hear the popping noise, which is a bit inconvenient. So I want to try a completely different Dacport LX.
Anyone have heard both the Dacport LX and HRT music streamer II+ and what will you guys choose?? Another recommend around $300 would be great,too, but I'll only need the USB input.

Have you tried a powered USB hub for the popping noises? I got a lot of screeching noises etc from my HRT when I used it with my laptop.

How about the ODAC? I prefer it to my HRT MSII. Haven't hear the MSII+

Dacport LX might not work with Wasapi either. Works well with Directsound though.
Try giving the HRT more power, another port, directly to your system, or something.
