Yo guys, as topic, I'm going to replace my current sound card with the model shown for better music experience.
My concern here is that the performance of the e10 in terms of sound clarity, details, vocal because
I'm listening to slow instrumental songs which always features good vocal, clarity and details.
Btw, I'm using laptop. Headphone used? Let's say I'm not using headphone for now, sticking to my Brainwavz M4.
Please advise on this matter or is there any better DAC/AMP or soundcard available?
Thinkng of Asus Xonar external also.

Thanks.

It's the X-Fi Surround 5.1, right?  The internal DAC is maybe surprisingly decent actually.  The main issue is the headphone output and the cheap (and too small) electrolytic capacitor for DC blocking on the output, which causes issues including bass rolloff, particularly for lower-impedance loads, but it's not a huge huge deal.

You're generally better off saving for better IEMs or headphones, but you could well look at a headphone amp if you wanted.  Something like a FiiO E6 would fix those issues with the headphone output.  I guess an E10 is not that expensive and a better option than many others, though I'd be hesitant to spend that much without better headphones / IEMs.
