Los Angeles Meet - Mid to Late August 2012 @ LAX - Interest Check

I'm interested! I just tried to absorb info and the atmosphere at the Irvine meet, and you guys were great. Got me actually thinking about upgrading, so now I can seriously listen to some high-end stuff, instead of just lusting after it.

If anything, I would like to keep the location centralized. I'm tending toward Pasadena (near Burbank Airport and easy driving from NorCal) and maybe north OC (Anaheim.) LAX is a possibility if it becomes a national meet, but I want to avoid the traffic congestion around that area (even on the weekends, it's bad.)

The other thing I want to do is maybe have a few knowledgeable guys down here help me to put together a two-three high-value budget rigs - properly set up with good synergy among the parts.

The multiple room setup is a must.

Oooooo! Count me in for the high value budget rigs...especially if we do Anaheim!

Count me in as well please.  Pasadena gets my vote re the location, but I'm a bit biased.

Also, I'd be happy to lug my bottlehead crack, keces dac, and some 'phones etc. along to add to the budget listening options if that would be helpful.

Interested.  I'm also a fan of the Pasadena idea.  It'll be a nice excuse to make the trek from the Bay Area to visit my folks in LA.

Of course, the summer in LA and with a bunch of heat-generating gear... let's hope the venue has decent air conditioning. :)

Count me in!

As for traffic, getting to Pasadena on the weekends isn't a quick driver either. We may be better off near LAX.

As far as airports go, Ontario airport is dream!  State of the art facility, zero congestion, low stress travel at it's finest.  15 miles to Anaheim and 30 to LA thereabouts?  How close the nearest Hooters is is another question.
