Pretty much as the name suggests, when you receive your new leather/sheepskin 'Angle Pads' from Mark, feel free to post your impressions and pictures here for others to read/see.

I'd like to order them, but only as soon as someone with a pair of STOCK D7000s replaces the pads and lets us know how it changes the sound. Stock, because I have zero issues with the stock sound. It's perfect for me, and I'd like to see what the new pads add/take away.

I have the Lawton Lite DIY mod on order including pads and cups and also have J$ pads here on my D7000 along with the stock pads.

Once I get the package I'll try to write something sensible to compare the three different pads, on the stock 7000 first before I mod it and then on the LA7000. That way I wouldn't have to take it apart twice.

Feel free to remind me via PM in a couple of weeks as I'm rather busy and hectic at times so I could forget the very existence of this thread.
I hope to receive my package from Mark by then.

I'm really looking forward to your impressions guys!

Lawton said the following to me:

We have expanded the 1st production run of Angle Pads to accommodate demand, we still have a few slots avail in next shipment. We are expecting these to ship in approx. 4 weeks (current estimate).
Shipping is $8 to France via usps air mail. Total is $97, we accept paypal at HIDDEN or I can send you an invoice that enables secure credit card payments, let me know, thanks.

I rather wait for your impressions or find some cheap J$'s

$97 is a little too much IMO for pads.

Had the same message, my wooden cups seem to be finished but I have to wait 4 weeks 'till the pads come in.

What's with J$, out of business? His website seems to be down and there was a guy (from computeraudiophile I think) complaining all over the web because one pad wasn't exactly stitched the same as the other.
I have his pads and I really like them. I think mine are V1 or 2, not sure what the difference is though.

I read that review - He had a point, one was radically different from the other IMO.
But generally speaking, J$'s were perfect.

I think his stopped for the time being, to stop taking orders. I think his on holiday, or travelling, from what I read/know, and had some problems with back-orders.

Either or, when he gets the job done, usually its a great job - I just wish i could hear/see it for myself!

Yeah recently I read something about J$ being in Europe.

Looks like I've got another month listening padless then :frowning2: still can't wait to get hold of them though
