So I bought a pair of these about a month ago mainly for technical death metal, brutal death metal, and reggae.... ( examples listed below.) Here is my opinion....with lots of "lols" and "hahas"
They are made extremely well. To me they look beautiful. I love the fact they have so many ways to customize it... Hell you can spend up to 27,000 USD! LOL I love how they come presented in the box and the 1 day shipping was nice. The warranty is downright amazing... All the extra cables... I ended up buying the boom mic since I play Elder scrolls, Battlefield, and a few other games. The mic picks up everything so im told LOL.
Sound wise its F'ing beautiful... I have never owned a better pair of headphones in my life. They need to come with the XL pads stock though... The normal pads are very uncomfortable and im a smaller guy.... They also sound very hollow without the XL pads. I really love the bass. It really stands out... The mids and highs are a little recessed, but for any bass heavy genre these will kick ass... I can generally listen to them at 50-70 percent volume before they kill my ears haha. They are extremely clear though even at 100 percent volume. I have tried a few acoustic songs on them, and they do play them well and clear, but if there is any bass in the song it tends to want overpower.
For gaming they are nothing but pure bliss... The Boom Mic cable does slightly limit the power though. But even when attached to a Xbox one controller it has enough umphhh to satisfy almost anyone. I have tried them on battlefield one and my god man.... I almost forgot to add, they do let a lot of sound out... My girlfriend says she can hear what im listening to at 50 percent volume at about 5 feet away from me, with the TV on. At higher volumes they also dont let a lot of sound in... But they are not noise canceling... At all. They can be playing on your phone but it is limited compared to a laptop or with a amp. I feel their are way more pros then cons to these headphones. Overall these headphones are really worth the money and I would recommend them to someone who is willing to drop this type of money on a set of headphones, audiophiles, casuals, etc.
Technical Deathcore example- those solos man
Brutal deathcore example - Anyone into slams can see where the Modas kick ass here. (its in russian sorry guys)
Reggae example - One love
