@Zorrofox If you're after a cheaper durable headphone with a rather neutral signature, take a look at the German Maestro GMP 8.35D. I bought the JFB branded version to have a robust option at hand if my 2-year old son wants to play with headphones  So far it worked out...

I'll check those out. Many thanks.

Shame for this too... , I think I can replace this part by myself but the distributor in my country said they can't import only this part. So I have to wear this in public. God damn.

How did that happen? A little piece of paint just randomly came off the other day but i haven't dropped or scuffed them. I e-mailed V-Moda about getting replacement parts (since they screw on) and they do not make spare parts. I love my V-Moda M100 Shadows and they are 95% as rugged as advertised, the only problem I've had is with the bit of plastic on the headband as happened with yourself. I may scan them and see if i can get 3D prints made

Unfortunately for V-Moda 95% of advertised isn't as advertised. I wonder if mine will go down this road. Hmmm.......

No no no that's not the paint came off but that is the wing part crack inside.

Sorry didn't see that until i took another look, i didn't think that could happen like that. It's a shame v-moda insist on having headphones returned to them for repair, especially for those outside the USA. They could easily send out the parts for international customers to fix themselves.

My m100s are still claiming down, are uncomfortable to wear for an extended period of time. What's the best way to stretch them out ?

Just grab the headband at the ends with your hands, just above the plastic parts, and bend it. At least thats what V-Moda recommends and I did with my pair. Be careful anyway...

Last night I put my headphones around my lampshade in my bedroom overnight. Maybe a basketball is a good idea. I'll try your method too

The spring steel in the headband needs to be bent further than what you want it to rest at. As mentioned above bend it just past flat and that should be enough to loosen it slightly. Just don't hold it on any joints that may break. Hold the band portion only.
