I have stretched the headband out and they fit pretty well.

I have loosened them up considerably, in fact almost too much.
But yeah, I'm going to mess around with the EQ next before giving up completely.

m100 should be a tight but comfortable fit on your head. helps to get xl pads

V-MODA won't send you any parts. Don't try to repair it yourself, either.

yea, i contacted they said they would replace it, with which im happy ofcourse, except i have to miss my favourite hp's for probably 3 weeks since in live in europe. :frowning2:

Also wonder how they go about custom plates with this, should i screw them off and send them the hp's without any plates?
They havent responded back to me about this yet.

They do cover the shipping tho, so im not worried about the great service

I would assume they want you to put the stock plates back on and return it with those.

I need to extend my boom mic cable but need a cable that will allow me to still use the mic.  Anyone know of an extension cable that will work with either the boom mic cable or the speak easy cable and still allow voice chat?

It's still extremely uncomfortable, though the XL pads may hurt as the majority of the pain is located on my ears.  Even though they don't touch them.  However I think some of it may be that the drivers are located fairly close to the ear drum.  I just wish that they came with the XL pads stock, and these obsolete kid ear pads were scrapped - they would barely cover baby ears, lol!

I have baby ears..

I keep a bag of those at home myself, but you don't see me posting about it on Head-fi (until just now, when I did -- please don't tell anyone).

just changed my stock earpads to XL. Takin out was easy but puttin XL on
was a challange. Noticed the cut of plastic inserts on XL earpads were
a bit off. any1 similar experience ?

Flip it 180 degrees.  That might help a it

Switched the XL pads back to stock yesterday and wow, what a difference. With the stock pads the bass is far tighter and less wooly, and as a result the midrange is more clear. The sound is also a little more intimate which i assume is because the drivers are closer to the ear. Listening with the stock pads the sound is far more tolerable without an eq, and so I'm leaving them on. For me the slight loss in comfort is worth it for the better sound, as the XL pads spoil the best part of the M100's sound-the tight and controlled, deep-reaching bass.
