Ibasso also didnt implement my suggestions in this update but who knows, maybe they're still refining them before they introduce them.

I listened to the fit ear tg334's through my dx100 and its the best thing I've heard to date. This is with 1.2.3 with eq off. With my westone 4's i bump up the bass by maxing out the lowest freq slider and half maxing the second lowest freq slider. Westone 4's are known as neutral on the side of bass light but my need to bump up the bass so much may indicate how my dx100's bass is not bloated or increased in quantity. I'm not a bass head, btw, but i am relatively young.

Connect your DX100 to the machine and start up MediaMonkey. You wanna configure the settings in MediaMonkey first. Configure both internal and external storage. It may take a little while to scan if you got a crap load of music like I do.
 
Click on the "ibasso DX100 Internal" listed on the left hand side of MediaMonkey. Select "Options." Under "Destination" copy and paste: \Music\<Playlist>\<Filename> under "Sync Music files." I also did the same thing under "Classical music files" just in case. Make sure to click "Apply" or it won't save. Do the same for the below directions or you'll end up kicking yourself .
 
If you are syncing FLAC files I recommend you set up a custom preset under "Auto conversion". Its also listed in the Options tab I had mentioned earlier. Under <Add Auto-Conversion Rule...> You'll find a list of options. Next to "When the format is:" Change it to "FLAC." Now under "If any of the following conditions are true:", "For Audio bitrate" change it to "Above" and change "input" to "128 kbps." Further below change "To the following format:" to "FLAC." Customize the compressions if you wish. I recommend 6 at the most. So that would be the third to the last line then select OK.
 
Now under "auto sync" select the playlists that you imported. If you haven't added the playlists you can manually do it from "File/Add /Rescan Folders" and point it to where you have your playlists stored. It will add them to "Imported playlists" in MediaMonkey. Whichever playlists you select will sync once you press the auto sync button. Just check-mark the desired playlists you want to be synced and apply. Then hit the Auto-Sync button. That should be it. Happy listening. (One more thing guys). Under Option/Playlists be sure to check-mark Sync Playlists, Library Playlists, Artists, Albums, Location. Also checkmark Use Unicode (UTF-8 Encoding) for M3u playlists. The 4th picture in my below posts will show you exactly what I mean.
 
Once you have synced everything try and have a look at both your playlists and music folder on your DX100. You'll notice they are all named the same thing. This makes it very easy to edit and add onto your DX100 and keep everything organized. When you want to add on you just update the playlist in MediaMonkey and apply the changes to the playlist (overwrite it). At which point I recommend you clear the playlists from MediaMonkey library and rescan them. This should take about 10 secs to do and will reflect the changes you made. If you intend to not add a lot you can just copy and past the new music over to the intended folder and then delete the old playlist from your DX100 and copy the updated playlist over to the DX100 Playlist folder (should be the same playlist but with the new music you added to it as well). Once you disconnect your DX100 it will reflect the same playlists but with your new music files added and in the order you put them in. Happy listening.

So far the Tralucent 1Plus2 are the best IEMs I've heard to date. Even better than the AKG3003s. I found 1.2.3 to sound best with EQ on flat. On 1.1.7 I find it to sound best with EQ off.

Hi, it dosn't say anything to do with the ibasso when it's connected!
 
Oh hold on....its showing up as a HTC Hero Mobile!

Try restart MediaMonkey if its not showing up. I'll post pics to show you exactly where it should be.
 

 
To zoom in on the image once you've clicked on it to expand it then right click "view image" This will allow you to zoom in and see what I am pointing to.

Im getting the playlists now onto my dx, but im also getting a new issue with mediamonkey actually duplicating the files.
 
 
So for example.....
 
The playlist I have created is a selection of "Pet Shop Boys" songs, the program is not only creating the playlist, but it duplicates the 30 files from the playlist into a new folder called as per the playlist!
 
Its not set to sync music only the playlists, why is it creating another music folder with the same songs in it  ?

You can delete those playlists. Delete everything but "Imported Playlists". Just a little house cleaning and you should be good . The pictures should show you exactly what you need to do. It was a bit of a PITA but as they say "A picture is worth a thousand words" .
 
However I recommend you manually create your playlists. You can make a list of songs in the Now playing section and highlight them all. Right click Send to... M3U/XSPF playlist. You can choose where you want the playlist to be stored. I highly recommend you choose a place you are familiar with. So in the event something goes wrong with your PC you still have the playlists ready to reload and not have to go through the process of making them again. Same goes for your music. I'd say keep them in a safe place where you also keep your music. Also name the playlist what you want it to be named. Just going step by step to make this as easy as possible. I do it this way so the playlists are stored exactly where I want them to be stored. Once you have created it you then do as I said earlier and add it via File/Add Rescan File to Library and point it to the folder where you have saved your playlists.
 

 

No Lee, Its creating a new music folder with the songs in it from the playlist......so it's duplicating the actual music files

Where is it creating these extra files? Can you give me a screen shot? That doesn't make sense at all. I know when it is converting your files though it will create and extra file in your temporary folder and then it cuts and pastes them to your DX100 (when using MediaMonkey to sync to your DX100). Not sure if you are referring to this... I'll post a screen shot to see if you mean this. If that is the case then it is not making a new file. It's just listing the songs in the playlist for you to see, play and copy and paste over (shortcut).
 

It's not converting anything, I have only d/l the free version of media monkey, so it just deals with the flac/mp3 files that i have.
 
It's creating a new music folder on the dx, in screenshot you can see how its created my playlist folder ok, but then it's created "Pet Shop Boys" and copied the same songs again in there!
 

Is Pet Shop Boys the playlist you created? How I have it set up is that is creates a music folder just like it creates your playlist. So you sync Pet Shop Boys Playlist, the music folder it creates will also be named Pet Shop Boys. Do you understand me? It should be putting the music folder though in your Music Folder and the Playlist in the playlist folder. That is something I am wondering about. Let me see a screen shot of how you configured the "Destination" from "Options" under the DX100.
 
I'm wondering if you are thinking it just puts the playlist and not the music onto your DAP. It doesn't work that way. It syncs both the music and the playlist onto your DAP. Basically you are starting from a clean slate to make this work. Meaning you delete all files from your DX100 and then via playlist put them back on. I'm under the impression you have these files already on your DX100 and just wanted to add a playlist? It don't work that way if so.

My DX has 100 Pet Shop Boys songs on it already......i just want to create a playlist of 30 songs from that 100, so ive made the playlist, but when syncing even though im only syncing the playlist and not music, its still creating another pet shop boys music file with the 30 songs in from the playlist

Anyway another way around this ive now found is that I can just create my playlist on MM and then "send to" m3u/xspf playlist and this then works on the dx

No when you sync its not just the playlist my friend. Its the music as well. So delete the old folder you had with Shop boys and keep the new one. Understood? It don't work that way. You can't just add a playlist and expect your old files to just work with it. You are re-syncing the files and the playlist so that they work together. Understood?

Update: Just remember when you sync via MediaMonkey you are not just adding a playlist. You are adding the music and the playlist. I've never seen it done differently. Generally when you were attempting to do that you get errors because the directories aren't in sync and the playlist wont work. Just another hassle to deal with and not worth it. Just re-sync and delete old content.
