So this little guy CPU is a rockchip 2918...
Arm A8 @1Ghz. Along with 2d/3d gpu built in
Definitely NOT underpowered... :/
But I was correct
The "firmware" is separate than the OS in this guy. Now to find put base memory.....
I don't have this problem, I just wanted to express my appreciation for the information figgie is providing.
Figgie, thank you for being awesome.
So it could run ICS then ?
OK.
So there are two music players (wow... I am not going to even start on how f'ing silly that is). One plays just one album without proceeding to the next. The other has a sort or problem with descending sort on number.
Roffensian and sorrensiim
Your tracks.. anyway to make a copy of an album and replace the spaces with underscores?
Example
01 - Pretty Little Thing.flac
01-Pretty_Little_Thing.flac
Do this for two albums... along with artist (if needed) and album title (if needed).
The other question... are the two music players custom? Or is one based on Google music?
I managed to get the dx100 update image mounted in the Android sdk... unfortunately it is on work computer so won't get access until I head to work later.
Ok
I'm following Ibasso reccomendations to re-format and re-install firmware to see if this cures my loer case problem.
However following their instructions windows cannot find a driver for this platform!!!
I am picking the win 7 driver (from the x86) folder and thats what i get, im using windows 7 64bit!
Any ideas anyone ?
OK, so here's what I did.
Checked an album in windows, the file name in the iBasso music folder is ##<space>trackname. Looked in the main music player on the DX100 and the player has removed the ##<space>, leaving only the filename. The player then adds it's own numbering of ###<period>
The album has 12 tracks, and in the DX100 track 12 (filename '12 Name' is listed in the main music player as '001.Name'.
If I rename the file in windows to put underscores instead of spaces the sequencing is correct, and what's more it converts the underscores to spaces - so track 1 is now track 1 and the name reads correctly. That's a limited test, but if it's true for everything then all I have to do is replace space with underscore everytime it occurs (!) and the problem is fixed. However, I don't believe that you can do a search and replace on file names!
In terms of system memory, under settings > applications the total amount of memory (used and free) is shown as 503MB, so I'm guessing that equates to 512MB of system memory.
@surfer, you do have two players - hit the menu icon above 'All Music' in the main music menu or the same icon at the top of the detailed now playing screen and it will open up a new menu. The Albums option in that menu allows you to play one album at a time (by pressing the first song title in the album).
Finally, to echo others, figgie - you are being an incredible help, thank you!
