Workers strike is holding all shipments since some time, and even if they came to a halt, it will take some time to process all the previously halted/pending shipments that came days ago.........................................

So maybe some one will be shipped mine...maybe...

Sorry to read this. I hope things clear up soon.

  1. Rip the CD using Sound-juicer in Linux. EAC and dBPowerAmp CD ripper will be fine as well. Make sure the tags are correct - artist, album, track names etc. I rip straight to FLAC, level 5 (default). Repeat until all your cd's are ripped.
  2. Open the folder containing the freshly ripped files in Mp3Tag. Set it to sort by album, that will make everything a lot easier.
  3. Now select all the files from a given album (Click on the first track, hold down "shift" and click on the last track). In the top menu, select "Tag Sources" -> "Cover Art" -> "Amazon.com". Select the right album and go - 9 times out of 10 that will land me the correct cover. If it's unable to come up with the right cover, right click on the cover art placeholder on the left (below the tags) and select "Add cover..." - Then you'll need to find a cover image yourself. Once you're found it, add it to the files and remember to click "Save" before moving on to the next album. Repeat until done.
  4. To make sure we cover all bases regarding artwork, go to the top menu and select "Actions" -> "Actions". This will take you to the menu where you can add or edit batch jobs. Click "New" (blank page with a star) and give it a name. "Cover extraction" would be a fine name for it. Then you can add the actual actions that needs to be performed. Click "New" and in the drop-down menu you select "Export Cover To File". In the field "Format string for image filename" you write "cover" - not "Cover.jpg", just "cover". Click OK. Then select the Action we just created and click the "Duplicate" button. Change the format string to "folder". Click OK and OK. That should take you back to the actions menu, but now with a fourth action called "Cover Extraction". Close the Actions menu, select ALL your files (CTRL + A) and open the Actions menu again. Tick the box for "Cover Extraction" and click OK. Now every single folder containing flac files will also contain cover.jpg as well as folder.jpg, extracted from the embedded artwork we added in #3.
  5. Copy files to device, enjoy. beerchug.gif

I'm sorry to hear that, turokrocks, but I'm sure the wait will, when you eventually receive your DX100, be worth it. Ultimately, nothing is 'Right' or 'Wrong', and we mere mortals cannot necessarily know the reason(s) why something like this may occur. All we can know with any reasonable certainty is that, whatever the reason(s) might be, such things do occur in life, from time to time, and our best approach is to learn to peacefully adapt to such obstacles rather than resisting them and consequently feeling bad about them.

Customs  strike, here, is holding all incoming shipments since some time, and even if they came to a halt, it will take some time to process all the previously halted/pending shipments that came days ago.........................................

Ah, I see.

OK, I've gone back to re-edit my previous post :)

But one thing I do still stand by is:

All the best to everyone at iBasso - both employees and management - we all appreciate your hard work! beerchug.gif

..and good luck with receiving your DX100 as soon as possible, turokrocks.

Perhaps the strain of getting the modifications implemented, and the packaging and shipping, for so many orders, in order to meet the promised deadline, may have led to employees being asked to work major overtime (I am intimately familiar with this kind of scenario, since I used to work for a small firm, producing sub-contracted products, to tight deadlines, as one of approximately 20 employees. If we failed to meet the deadline, then the firm would fold, so we were expected to work 90+ hours per week, for several months. Needless to say, morale was at 'below-optimum levels', not to put too fine a point on it). I hope matters can be resolved amicably between management and employees, as this kind of situation is an unhappy one for employees, management, and customers, alike.

Wow what BS! I misread Turoks comment thinking his postal service within his country was on strike... So more delays now. I am really considering just getting my money back and living with the Studio V (which is amazing itself). Heck there are even people who prefer the Studio V to the Hifiman 801. Just food for though guys... mad.gif

If everyone would be good enough to rewind a few posts and re-read, editing their own posts accordingly, it'd be much appreciated. In my defence, as you can see from my quote of turokrocks, the original statement was (innocently, on turokrocks' part) a little ambiguous and thus open to (innocent, on my part) misinterpretation.

Totally innocent misunderstanding, folks! :)

No USB host support — Android 2.3.4 and the Open Accessory Library do not support USB host mode (for example, through UsbDevice), although USB host mode is supported in Android 3.1. An Android-powered device running Android 2.3.4 can not function as a USB host. The library enables the Android-powered device to function as a peripheral only, with the connected accessory functioning as USB host (through UsbAccessory).
