Good headphones to replace my Philips O'Neill THE STRETCH headphones?

Yep. So my old headphones, named 'The Stretch', have finally given out on me. I liked them, they were the most comfortable ones I've had so far, and they didn't eat my iPod's battery up either. Plus they sounded good on my computer.

Since there are tons of headphones out there, I'm kind of lost as to what to choose, as I really want a pair of really durable, sleek, and musically sound headphones. Colour is also kind of important to me. Something like Colorware.com is cool but their range of headphones is too small. Although the whole Beats line of headphones don't appeal to me...

Anyway, what are some headphones that are better than these, have good overall highs/lows, and can work with multiple genres of music? Also, make sure they're fit for mp3 player use too!

I heard the AKG K-701's were good, but ate up battery so I'm not so sure about those. But the thing to keep in mind is I love bass, but I also love to be able to hear all the instruments in a song. I listen to a range of genres, like rock, pop, electronic, leftfield stuff, blues, etc. To make it slightly clearer, I like to listen to the Foo Fighters and the Chili Peppers, but I like to also listen to Deadmau5, Baths, and Daft Punk.

So to sum up, I would like a pair of headphones that are:
- Durable/strong/comfortable
- Stylish
- Good quality sound/highs and lows, etc.
- Fit for iPod use.

Also I love the over-the-ear headphones that are noise cancelling. The Stretch had those features down pretty well.

Thanks guys :)

They're probably fixable. The Stretches have a dead simple construction with really thin enamel wire. But if you want an upgrade, I finally got around to hearing a V-Moda M80 and they do sound like an upgraded Stretch.

I would recommend the sony mdr zx700. Although I don't have it I heard they sound very similar to its younger brother zx500 which I have. The zx500 sound very bright and clear. If you like bass you will need an amp. With an amp like fiio e11 they can sound amazing. Plus I think they are very nicely styled simple and clean but still very interesting. Although the bass is a bit recessive its very clear. The comfort on the zx500 sucks though. That is why I recommend the zx700, heard they are more comfortable than the zx500.

About the picture I post I am sorry that I did that.....

Other then that I would recommend you to wait until the philips citiscape series come out on march. They look very nice. Not sure about the sound quality though.
