I gave away a pair of KSC-35's to my brother. I also let a friend "borrow" my SR-60's, and I haven't had the heart to ask for them back yet....

I've also given away 5 pairs of Etymotic ER-20 ear plugs (brand new)... I think the biggest things I've ever given away was an IBM Thinkpad T20 laptop and a Cisco 2610 Router.

Pretty funny, but I tried giving my bro some grados, and some senn 600s. He doesn't like them as much as the sony V6 so I took them back. Oh, he also gave back an AH, TAH and mint. He prefers the headphone jack out of his set of Promedias because it was convenient.

i figured it was about time to become a pure-bred RS-1 fan.

I bought a really nasty pair of earbuds for £1 a couple of weeks ago. I only wanted them for the foamies to go on my Senn MX500s.

I gave the earbuds to my father. He goes through them like nobody else. I swear that he must eat them opr something

There is a pair of MX300s that came with my iRiver so I will probably give him those as well.



I once gave away a Sony SEQ-411 Graphic Equaliser to a work colleague. To be honest I was glad to see the back of it.

You need to order some Raido Shack foamies for those MX500's they are cheap and make the MX500 sound really good.

I don't know what's the big deal with complaining about those Apple iPod earbuds- they do sound great when driven by iPod and I have no desire to switch. Sporta Pros for example sound much worse. Sure, it's a big difference when I listen to HD-580 and proper source/amp because for one earbuds lose a lot of detail but they are fairly neutral (un-colored) and that's the most important trait for me. So don't necessarily assume that people sticking to default iPod earbuds do it out of ignorance.

But more importantly, this thread has given me an inspiration, I'll give my Beyer DT-931 to my mom... She always asks me to give her some classical music CDs when I go home, and I gave her a PCDP at some point but it recently broke, and she does enjoy listening... And I should probably do the same (give away to family/friends) with several DACs I have build as prototypes that now just sit in a bag somewhere.
